Recently, Dezhou Vocational and Technical College and Hangzhou Acceleration Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, and planned to jointly build "IC Industry College". According to the introduction of "Accelerated Science and Technology", in the face of the shortage of talents in the field of IC "stuck neck", Accelerated Science and Technology cooperated with Dezhou Vocational College to build an IC college. The former will donate 1.2 million semiconductor testing equipment to Dezhou Vocational College, which will be used to deepen the integration of production and education between the two sides and build an "IC Industry College" to jointly cultivate IC talents. It is reported that the two sides will cooperate in practical teaching, teacher training and teaching team, curriculum innovation, etc. around the training of talents in IC industry, strengthen the systematic design of "Industry-University-Research Application", innovate the talent training mode, break through the difficulties of the last mile of integration of production and education, and cultivate high-quality applied talents needed by IC industry. In fact, in order to alleviate the shortage of talents, a number of IC institutes in China have been set up one after another, including Peking University IC Institute, Tsinghua University IC Institute, Huazhong University of Science and Technology IC Institute, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications IC Institute, Anhui University IC Institute, etc. In addition, Wuhan University recently held an exchange forum with Shenzhen to discuss the cooperation of integrated circuit industry. Professor Liu Wei, assistant dean of Wuhan University's School of Microelectronics, and the head of the special semiconductor committee suggested that the university and the city jointly build an integrated circuit research institute, so as to promote the deep integration of real estate and education, and the close integration of production and research. In recent years, the trend of domestic substitution in China's semiconductor industry has accelerated, but the phenomenon of talent shortage has become increasingly prominent. In 2020, the number of IC-related graduates in China is about 210,000, but only 13.77% of the students choose to work in IC-related fields after graduation. According to the forecast of China Semiconductor Association, the gap of chip professionals in China will exceed 250,000 in 2022, and this gap will expand to 300,000 by 2025. In the future, with the strengthening of school-enterprise cooperation, the "high-skilled, sophisticated" talents in the domestic IC industry will gradually ease.
